How Can We Help?

What are the community inheritance settings?
Community Inheritance Settings can be found under the Account Inheritance Settings section. Through Community Inheritance Settings a community owner can determine what will happen to his/her communities if he/she is no longer able to carry out his/her role in these communities.

By default, if the community owner has not determined what will happen to his/her community, the community will be deleted. However, community owners can ensure the continuity of their communities by appointing a trusted successor per community, known as a community inheritor. Users can change this setting at any time. But keep in mind changing the setting from “Appoint a Community Inheritor” to “Delete the Community Permanently” will reset the appointment progress made.

If a community owner has selected a community inheritor but then decides to leave the community before the community inheritor can carry out his/her responsibilities, then the Community Inheritance Settings for that community will be removed. It’s important that the new community owner can manage his/her own Community Inheritance Settings.
