What are the Account Inheritance Settings?
Account Inheritance Settings give users the freedom to determine what will happen to his/her Collanity account after he/she dies. This includes all the communities, ads, services, etc. that he/she has. In this article, we will only focus on Account Inheritance Settings for your account.

By default, if a Collanity user dies, his/her account will be deleted. However, through the Account Inheritance Settings, users can set to delete their account (as default) or choose to memorialize their account by appointing an account inheritor. This inheritor will then be in charge of maintaining his/her account after he/she dies. Users can change this setting at any time. But keep in mind changing the setting from “Appoint an Account Inheritor” to “Delete the Account Permanently” will reset the appointment progress made.

Account Inheritance Settings will take effect if the Collanity user has been proven dead. For proof, it will take an unspecified number of users reporting deceased users, as well as a review and confirmation from Collanity. Once the death has been proven, Collanity will enforce the protocol according to the Predefined Account Inheritance settings.
